also, here's the earl grey recipe I used, if you need it:

Earl Grey Syrup
Soak 1 Earl Grey tea bag in a large glass of hot water for at least 1 hour.
Bring 7 oz of tea to boil in saucepan, and add 4 oz sugar. Simmer for 10 minutes with tea bag in pan. Remove from heat, pass through cheese cloth and bottle. Keeps for a month if refrigerated.

I can't speak to how the hibiscus would go, but I don't see why not! This is still one of my favorites that I've come up with, so it seems like a pretty good choice to me.

If it does make it on the menu, would you mind sending me a copy? Or at least a photo of it? It'd be my first official drink on one haha.

We did indeed use apple cider vinegar. I was considering trying white, but it just didn't smell all that great.

The bad news is that tonight as I was cooking it down, we had a little computer crisis and I left it unattended for too long and the whole thing caramelized and just ended up smelling like old toffee with a little brine. Pretty much un-usable, so we'll have to try this one again this weekend when I get some more limes.

After the shipping, it was $150. It's steep for just yourself, but when 10 people are splitting it, it's barely a blip on the radar!

As for people joining, I wish I could invite everyone, but once we hit 8-10 people, it gets to that level where less than 2.5 oz per person almost isn't worth the trouble. I'd wholeheartedly encourage you to start your own group, though! I didn't expect so many people to be so interested, so I think it would be really easy to fill out the ranks. We could even compare notes! We have a friend in Columbus, OH that is putting together one of his own as well. There's been talk of getting some custom pins made and organizing chapters haha
