Sure, I&#8217;d had crappy Italian ices from the freezer at the grocery store, but nothing as delicious and refreshing as a water ice.\u00a0 So this cocktail is my nod to one of the things Philly does best. Included are several Italian boozes, such as Limoncello and Maraschino Liqueur as a further hat tip to South Philly.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.homespeakeasy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/wooderice.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-354\" title=\"wooderice\" src=\"https:\/\/www.homespeakeasy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/wooderice.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"466\" height=\"350\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.homespeakeasy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/wooderice.jpg 648w, https:\/\/www.homespeakeasy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/wooderice-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 466px) 100vw, 466px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Lemon Wooder Ice<br \/>\n<\/strong>1 oz Limoncello<br \/>\n1 oz Silver Rum<br \/>\n0.75 oz Lemon Juice<br \/>\n0.5 oz Luxardo Maraschino Liquor<br \/>\n0.5 oz Simple Syrup<br \/>\n2 dashes Whiskey Barrel Bitters<br \/>\nLemon Peel &amp; Maraschino Cherry<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Shake ingredients well (except the bitters) and strain into a cocktail glass. Dash bitters across the top, garnish with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.homespeakeasy.com\/?p=84\">maraschino cherry<\/a> wrapped in a lemon peel.<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>NOTES: REALLY really tasty; the limoncello really makes it taste like lemon ice, surprisingly.\u00a0 This drink came out fantastically, though it may be on the sour side for some people.\u00a0 If you don&#8217;t like your drinks as sour as me, you could try just .5 oz lemon juice and 1 oz simple syrup instead!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; The first time I came to Philly I was introduced to water ice, which was not quite like anything I had tasted before.
